Financial Support
All accepted students will receive financial support in agreement with standard procedures of the Max Planck Society. The remuneration follows the amount for public employees (Tarifvertrag des öffentlichen Dienstes, TVöD) at grade 13, step 1 (step 2 as of year 2) at a level of 65%.
There are minimal tuition fees for the enrolment at one of our partner universities in the amount of ~€300 per semester, which includes a ticket for public transport.
Students will receive full financial support to participate in national and international scientific conferences.
Other support
The IMPRS coordinator and the International Office provide help in matters related to moving to the Potsdam region.
Students will be provided with office space, a laptop and other necessary computer equipment, and access to the institute's library, administrative, and IT support services.
Throughout the doctoral education, the IMPRS will provide regular seminars and opportunities for professional development, transferable skills development, and networking.
