PhD Representatives at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Hannover
At the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Hannover, two PhD students act as representatives of all PhD students to communicate their concerns to the institute's directors and network with other PhD students in the Max Planck Society.
All PhD students on the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Hannover were invited to elect PhD Student representatives. In this election, Nicole Knust and Rodrigo García-Álvarez have been elected as official PhD student representatives with Martin Weberpals elected as vice-representant. Their responsibilities cover the general interests of PhD Students.
The main task of the internal PhD representatives is to function as contact persons for all internal and external concerns of the students.
They provide a platform for an exchange among the students and organize regular PhD meetings and social events.
The PhD representatives at the Max Planck Instiute for Gravitational Physics in Hannover attends the yearly PhD meetings of the Max Planck Society to get informed and to inform the other PhD students about relevant developments that take place within the Society.
At the last general meeting, the PhD representatives participated in sessions on the following topics:
