Research
Various research groups at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hannover, the Leibniz Universität Hannover, and the Laser Zentrum Hannover participate in our IMPRS.
The complete scope of the field
The education covers the complete scope of the field from classical interferometry on the ground and in space to advanced and quantum control, from source modelling and perturbative studies to data analysis, providing a broad and interdisciplinary education background required in present-day gravitational-wave astronomy. To get an idea of your possible research project, see the list of possible projects, and the list of projects currently carried out by our PhD students.
