Research interests

I'm mostly focused on numerical methods for PDEs in particular hyperbolic, using either well-known schemes as Upwind, Lax-Fridrichs and Leapfrog or Conservative Methods. I studied the Godunov Methods implemented in the Whisky Code, which solves the general relativistic hydrodynamics equations in 3D space-like surface. I wrote a stand alone code able to solve Newtonian Euler Equations in spherical symmetry using High Resolution Shock Capturing Methods. My diploma thesis deals about Modelling fluid interfaces in numerical relativistic hydrodynamics, the goal is the treatment of compressible flows with interfaces between fluids with different physical and thermodynamical propreties.
