Research Interest:

I currently work on the generation of continuous variable entangled states of light at 1550 nm which will be used for distributing a secret key between two institutes. Therefor two squeezed light fields are generated by parametric down-conversion in a PPKTP crystal. After superimposition on a beam splitter the states are entangled and can be distributed through optical fibers. From the nonclassical correlations in the quadratures of the light fields a key can be distilled whereby the quantum nature of the states ensures the imposibility of an eavesdropping attack.
