Nonclassical Light
Schnabel; Wed 10:15 – 12:00, room 103 (3041)
Non-classical light exhibits correlations in the quantum noise of non-commuting observables and is therefore at the heart of the field of quantum optics. In this lecture generation, detection and applications of Fock states, squeezed states and entangled states are discussed. The latter one has been used to experimentally demonstrate the Einstein-Podolski-Rosen-Paradox and the violation of Bell's inequality as well as quantum teleportation.
